My Mission is Your Mission.

I am committed to building a future that reflects the values of our community—supporting small businesses, creating good jobs, planning smart growth, and investing in education, recreation, and quality of life. As mayor, I'll work every day to serve the people, protect what makes our town special, and lead with heart, vision, and purpose.

Business Development

As a proud member of this community, I understand the heart and soul of our town lives in our small, local businesses. These shops, cafés, services, and family-run stores give our town its unique character and down-home charm. As a small business owner myself I know how hard it can be to run a business, take care of a family, and try to find time to enjoy your life. In my role as mayor, I will work tirelessly to support and promote our local entrepreneurs—working to cut red tape, encouraging growth, and creating opportunities that help them thrive. When small businesses succeed, our entire community prospers.

To build a stronger future for our town, we must actively recruit industries that align with our values and strengthen our local economy. As mayor, I will work with the St Clair County EDC to attract businesses that bring quality jobs, support our workforce, and invest in our community. By creating a welcoming environment for responsible industry, we can expand career opportunities, keep our talented residents close to home, and build a more prosperous future for all. It’s not just about growth—it’s about smart growth that benefits every corner of our town.

A Brighter Future

Our town deserves thoughtful, forward-looking planning that respects our roots while preparing for tomorrow. As mayor, I will prioritize smart planning and responsible zoning that balances growth with preservation. Whether it's improving infrastructure, protecting green spaces, or guiding development in a way that supports local values, I believe in building a future that works for our community. Together, we’ll ensure our town grows in a way that’s organized, sustainable, and true to the character we all cherish.

Our schools are the foundation of our community’s future, and as mayor, I am committed to supporting them every step of the way. Every student deserves the opportunity to succeed—whether that means preparing for college or pursuing a rewarding career in the trades. I believe in strengthening partnerships between our schools, local businesses, and trade programs to provide hands-on learning, career training, and real-world opportunities. By investing in both academic and vocational paths, we empower our youth to follow their passions and build strong futures right here at home.

Improving Quality of Life

I understand how important youth sports and recreation are to the families in our town. From soccer to baseball and softball, these activities teach teamwork, build confidence, and bring our community together. As mayor, I will work to expand access to well-maintained fields and facilities, so every child has the chance to play, grow, and thrive. Investing in more recreational spaces isn’t just about sports—it’s about building a healthier, more connected community for generations to come.

Our downtown is the heart of our community—rich with charm, local business, and character. But right now, it functions more as a thoroughfare than a true gathering place. I believe it’s time we rethink how traffic flows through our town by exploring alternate routes that ease congestion and redirect heavy traffic. By doing so, we can reclaim our Main Street as a walkable, welcoming destination where people want to slow down, shop local, and enjoy time together. With the right planning, we can protect the small-town feel we love while laying the groundwork for a more connected, accessible future.

Our senior citizens are the backbone of our town—full of wisdom, experience, and a deep love for this community. As mayor, I’m committed to creating more opportunities for our older residents to stay active, social, and engaged. Whether it’s expanding programs at our community centers, offering more social events, or improving accessibility, our seniors deserve spaces that enrich their lives.

As we look to the future, it’s important that we don’t overlook the everyday cornerstones that make our town a great place to live. I am committed to supporting our public library as a hub for learning and connection, ensuring our public safety departments have the resources they need to keep us safe, and preserving the natural beauty of our local nature preserve for generations to enjoy. These vital parts of our community deserve thoughtful attention and investment. As mayor, I will make sure thery are never placed on the back burner. They are essential to the qualifty of life we all enjoy.
